Volunteer Activities
Volunteer activities take place from Monday to Friday, providing a balanced routine between social work and cultural experiences. Saturdays and Sundays are free, allowing volunteers to explore Cusco, discover its historical and natural wonders, and enjoy the culture, cuisine, and landscapes that make this city a unique destination in the world.
Mornings: Girls’ Shelter
- In the mornings, volunteers work at a girls’ shelter/residential center, providing emotional, supportive, and educational guidance in a safe and protective environment. Through play, art, sports, and daily interaction, volunteers help foster the girls’ emotional, personal, and social development, strengthening their self-esteem, skills, and overall well-being.
- Main Activities: Emotional and supportive guidance, educational games and recreational activities, art workshops (drawing, painting, crafts), sports and integration activities, support with daily routines and community life.
Afternoons: Street Educators with Working Children
- In the afternoons, volunteers take part in the street educators project, supporting children who work to help their families, mainly in street vending, markets, and city streets. These children do not live at the center but attend daily to receive educational, emotional, and recreational support. The project focuses on academic reinforcement, emotional guidance, and creating safe spaces for learning and play, giving children a break from child labor during part of the day.
- Main Activities: School support and homework assistance, academic reinforcement and study habits, recreational activities and board games, art, crafts, and creative expression workshops, outdoor sports activities (soccer, volleyball, group games), emotional and recreational guidance.

We rely on volunteer contributions to sustain our programs. Your financial support helps cover essential elements such as activity materials, staff salaries (e.g., teachers and psychologists), and your accommodation. These contributions also fund administrative and operational costs, ensuring the continuity of our work.

What Does the Program Include?
We include everything you need for a safe, organized, and enriching stay: accommodation, guidance, orientation, projects, activities, and full support.
- The program includes safe accommodation with a host family, a private room, and basic meals (breakfast and dinner), along with continuous guidance and support, expert local coordination, and an activity plan according to the chosen social project.
- It also includes cultural orientation, a city tour, arrival and departure transfers, house rules, and an official volunteer certificate upon completion.
Very Important
- No upfront payment is required. Payment is made within the first three days after the volunteer’s arrival and settling in. Prices can be paid in US dollars, Peruvian soles, or euros, with no additional charges during the program.
