Who We Help: Children and teenagers in social risk; about forty children between the ages of six and eighteen years old.
Objectives: Contribute to the integral development of the children and teenagers, promoting their personal development through a participatory and educational process and guiding them towards social and home reintegration.
Program Description: INABIF Orphanage is a transitional home for children and teens in a state of physical or social abandonment. The orphanage offers meals, education, formation, and company, among other things. These centers are located in the city of Huancayo and work with children and teens in social risk. There are various problems the children face. Many are orphans, others have suffered violence at home, and several have been abandoned by their parents. Work with them allows you get a closer view of poverty and social marginalization that has occurred in this vulnerable group. Above all else, you can help by contributing to their transition back into society, giving them the possibility to become a valued person in our world. In the orphanage there is a personal administrative and operations staff in charge of the integral formation of the children. It is a home for the children and teens, offering them meals, housing, caretakers, and informal education as well as mental and physical healthcare.
Volunteer Work: The most important role of the volunteers in this project is interaction between you and the children. They need a lot of attention, care, and, above all else, love.
Free time: Volunteers work Monday through Friday and have weekends free to rest, read, visit different tourist attractions in the area, go on excursions, or take one of the curses organized by Expand Peru.

Payments are made within three days after the volunteer arrives in Huancayo. Volunteers can pay in the Peruvian currency (nuevos soles), American dollars, or in Euros.
