Volunteer House

The volunteer house is a comfortable place where volunteers meet from all over the world. It is located in a residential area of Huancayo, very accessible from the city center. The house includes shared dormitories, hot water, a living room, Wi-fi, Cable TV, and a kitchen. In this type of living accommodation meals are not included but you can utilize the kitchen and the other services without any additional costs.

Live with a Family in the City

This option offers a very unique opportunity to live with a traditional Peruvian family and experience, know, and enjoy their cultures and customs. You can also learn and practice Spanish in a very active and direct way.  The families provide you with a room, three meals a day, and all the comforts of a home.

Live with a Family in the Country

This option offers you the possibility to live in a rural area of the Mantaro Valley. You can be enriched by living with a Peruvian family. The country has many of its own characteristics, cultures, and customs. This is very distinct from living in the city. You can participate in agricultural activities and experience the folkloric music that is known to the region. The towns are not far from the city and they are very interconnected by public transportation.

All the families have been carefully selected. Each has been evaluated in terms of the family, customs, ability to adapt to other kinds of people, ease of communication, etc. We do this to make sure you feel comfortable and secure wherever you stay. They will consider you family while you are here and we’re certain you will feel that way when you leave. This option includes all your meals and special diets for vegetarians. The families are chosen according to the personality and necessities of the volunteer. They are specially chosen and controlled by regular supervision.
