ACCOMODATION AND FOOD

We have three options, each one designed to satisfy your needs and expectations in a different way. All our options guarantee comfort, safety and friendliness.

VOLUNTEER RESIDENCE: Huancayo

The volunteer residence is a friendly place where you will live with other volunteers from all over the world. It is located in a residential part of Huancayo, and is easily accesible from downtown. It consists of shared bedrooms, bathrooms with hot water, a common room, a kitchen and a laundry room. in this type of accomodation you can use the kitchen and other facilities at no extra charge / Internet and telephone .

 

FAMILY ACCOMODATION:
All the families have been carefully selected. We have evaluated the family members, customs,  their ability to adapt to different types of individuals and their ability to communicate. This will allow you to feel comfortable and safe in the home. They will be your family during your stay and they will continue to be family when you are gone. This option includes three meals per day, including special diets for vegetarians. The families are assigned according to the volunteer’s characteristics and needs. They are carefully chosen and evaluated through regular inspections. 

Family accomodation in the city: Huancayo/San Ramón This option will allow you to live a unique experience. You will live with a traditional Peruvian family, experiencing, learning and making the most of the proximity with their culture and traditions. You will also learn more about Peru, and will be able to learn and practice Spanish in a direct and active way. The families will provide a bedroom and all the facilities of a home, but above all the opportunity to live with them as a member of the family.

Family accomodation in the countryside: Huancayo This option is very similar to the one mentioned above, with all its benefits and advantages, except that the house will be located in the rural area of Valle del Mantaro, thereby enriching even more the experience of living with a Peruvian family. Rural areas have their own peculiarities, its own culture and traditions. These are very different from the city, and you will also be able to participate in activities such as agriculture, livestock, crafts, and folklore.

Rules and recommendations:

stipulated for all the options described above: If a volunteer does not feel comfortable with their assigned family, they can ask to move to the volunteer residence, as long as their is a vacancy.
